The Great British Online Cook Book - Launch date May 2014
The hunt is on to find 300 dishes from ten regions of Great Britain
The objective is to find 100 starters, 100 main course and 100 desserts, which embrace local produce, regional tastes and use ingredients as locally sourced as possible.
As well as recipes of mouth-watering dishes, there will be features on seasonal produce, growers, suppliers and featured articles on butchers, (that's where I come in!) bakers and fishmongers.
What makes The Great British Cookbook unique is its ability to link through to food, drink and shopping websites straight from the recipe pages, from where you can buy the ingredients you’ll need for the dish you’re looking at.
As well as viewing cooking and instructional videos embedded within its pages; you’ll also be able to make reservations at the restaurant you’re reading about, all without leaving the publication.
You can even link through to Google maps to locate the venue or follow them on Social media, the list is truly endless with the on-line features.
Once the book is launched the next challenge is to vote for the best three dishes from the Starter, Main Course and Dessert categories, with the winning venues receiving a prize worth over £30,000.
The publication goes on sale in June 2014 at just £5.00
